DIG4Future<\/strong> \u2013 Digital competencies, Inclusion and Growth for Future generations – is an Erasmus+ KA3 project<\/strong> that aims to improve the digital skills and competences of digitally excluded young people, aged between 11 and 14 years old, who live in disadvantaged urban and rural areas in Italy, Bulgaria, Greece and Romania.
Within the project, several educational resources promoting AI and digital education have been developed and implemented, engaging over 1,000 students and 50 teachers<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beneficiaries of the project are 11-14 year-old children attending schools and youth centres in urban and rural disadvantaged areas of the 4 EU countries. These are contexts with strong material and educational poverty, whereas children\u2019s rights to learn and develop skills are significantly undermined. This also negatively affects their growth and the possibility to aspire to a different future.
The project also engaged teachers and educators from both STEM and non-STEM subjects, fostering multidisciplinary teamwork and encouraging the sharing of expertise among educators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project developed and implemented an innovative educational method that foster inclusive education and promote common values. The DIG4Future curriculum was developed adopting an interdisciplinary and project-based approach and it consists of four different learning modules for a total of 48 hours encompassing in-class lessons (40 hours) and project-based activities (8 hours).
These learning materials are congruent with the Digcomp 2.2 framework, which emphasises the importance of digital competence, including artificial intelligence literacy, for all citizens.<\/p>\n<\/div>

DIG4Future aimed to empower young people in disadvantaged areas by enhancing their digital skills, leveraging the theme of Artificial Intelligence and its broad applications to equip them with essential tools. The goal was to enable them to navigate a digital-driven economy, expanding their expectations and safely engaging with the evolving world. The project addressed the imperative to initiate artificial intelligence literacy pathways in schools and educational settings, striving to provide students, teachers, and educators with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the ongoing revolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
